Well I have added the few bit information about this F355 Challenge being a real world vehicle. I think this article should mainly summarize the real world car before the arcade and video game are summarized. Anyone who has the time and know how to add pictures of the real race car and add the technical spec table to wiki would also be of value. This is not just a game.....this is a race car used in the Ferrari Challenge race event. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 69.225.31.94 (talkcontribs) .

Well maybe there should be 2 articles then. As it is, it is very messy and doesn't sum up either well enough. I think most people who view this page will be looking for info on the game, but there should definitely be a different page for the real life car. Mr.bonus 21:07, 16 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Well, Ferrari F355 already covers the car, so maybe the info here could just be merged to that article, and this article could link to it for people who are looking for the car, not the game? --Interiot 07:34, 17 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Article name

[edit]

I think we should change the name of the article. Current name is used only in the PlayStation 2 release. Original arcade version was named only "F355 Challenge" and the Dreamcast version "F355 Challenge: Passione Rossa". --Mika1h 18:42, 11 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

No it wasn't. Only the DC version has the subtitle, the announcer on the arcade says "FERRARI F-3-5-5 CHALLENGE." 阿修羅96 18:45, 11 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I don't remember about that, but the on the cabinet it only reads "F355 Challenge". --Mika1h 19:21, 11 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Despite that, the game has always been called "Ferrari F355 Challenge." Sort of like some people call Sega Super GT just "Super GT" since they don't think the word Sega is part of the title. 阿修羅96 19:58, 11 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Regarding my recent edits to the article

[edit]

I have some evidence to back up the changes I made to it:

  • This video of the Dreamcast version shows a copyright for CRI, which seems to indicate that the Dreamcast port was developed by CRI under the supervision of AM2. In addition, at 4:08, you can view the credits that seem to be taken from the arcade version of the game, listing Yu Suzuki as producer and director, as well as listing Genki Hitomi and Minoru Niihara as the creators of the songs that play in the game, among other things.
  • The credits to the PS2 version of the game, which plainly list TOSE as the developer of the port.
  • This Google search for "F335 Challenge" shows that not only does the Dreamcast version have the subtitle "Passione Rossa", but that it was also published by Acclaim.
